Quick updates

Just two quick updates before the holiday weekend. I wanted to share what I’ve been working on.

First off, I’ve almost completed the map for our upcoming campaign. I have to tell you, painting Mighty Empire maps is tedious! I still have to paint all those little flags, too. Ugh.

Anyway, it was fun adapting it to 40K. I built 3 hives cites and added as you can see. I also made some counters to represent airfields (to be featured in a future installment). More on this to come.

I also started to teach my son to paint.

Not bad for a first time by a seven year old. It’s 100 times better then how I started (which is to say: In my mother’s basement and using Testor’s high-gloss enamel straight out of the bottle onto lead figures. They were made of lead for crying out loud!)

That’s all for now. Everyone have a safe Memorial day weekend.

The hive cities look awesome from what I can tell. I can't wait to raze them to the ground, enslave the populace, and use the scrap to create a rampaging Gargant mob.

All will be crushed under heel!

looks awesome scott, I've been wondering what you've been up to.
I'd love to see some close ups of those building and how you made them as well as detail on your upcoming campaign, you know sometime in July we need to do the next round of Ultramarines VS Thousand Sons!!
it's longggggggggg overdue.

Hey! Cool stuff. I know a somewhat easy way to paint those things that I will share with you next time we hang out.

We have to get a game happening when I am done with school!! Soon we can have some hot Chaos on Chaos action!

Dude, your first miniatures painting is one step, even if only a small one, above mine- I was using Testors gloss enamel... from one of their paint pens! Not even a brush! What a tool (me, not the paint pen). I long since stripped those miniatures and repainted them to eliminate the evidence.

The hard work on the hex map paid off. It looks awesome! Makes me want to make one, and I'd never actually have any use for one!

What are the adaptions you made? Did not see it posted elsewhere. Sorry.
