Behold! A test Mini! (And Special Offer)

I want to say thank you to those of you that commented on my last post about test minis. I think I just needed to accept the fact that when starting a new color scheme, the noble test miniature is unavoidable.

So here are some more pictures of the mini. I'm pretty happy with it.

This is definitely pretty rough still. I need to neaten up some of the blending, especially around the horns. I'm happy I was able to work some subtle purple shading into this guy.

Special Offer!
I am finally taking the plunge into selling some old gaming stuff on e-bay. Find it here.

If there is something that you're interested, please make a bid. If you win, mention that you are a Citizen Nick Hobby Center reader and I'll give you free shipping!

Wow. Just. Wow. Your test mini quality is light years ahead of my production models!

That red is sooo smooth and I love the gnarly bump highlights. Did you finish the sword? Is it going to be a bone finish then?

Excellent test model Citizen Nick!

I like the purple tongue! - it fits in with the red flesh parts very well and gives a unique feel to the miniature (and potentially a unit of them at a later date?).

Looking good sir! I didn't comment on the previous post but I'm a test model guy too. Because I work on my models largely piecemeal these days I start my scheme on a set of legs before I move to each successive stage, but yeah. I work out the details on the first model - as Slayer would say - Piece by Piece!

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.

Yeah, the sword is going to be bone. It needs a few more layers to smooth it out a bit. I also haven't done anything to the brass on the pomel.
